Easing your way

Rochester Road, Burham: a new footpath being constructed on the eastern side of Rochester Road will make it far easier for pedestrians walking along this section known as Alex Hill.

The footpath will run opposite the top of Bull Lane to opposite the junction of the existing Court Road. While this work is being carried out by our contractors BAM Nuttall, temporary traffic controls will be in operation along this section starting on 3 November.

It is expected that these controls will be in place until 19 December. There will be temporary one way traffic for approximately 250 meter stretches and these will be in place 24 hours a day throughout the working week. It is planned that they will be removed at weekends. No priority can be given to any drivers other than emergency services.

Advanced warning signs will be erected a minimum of a week prior to the traffic lights being in place.
