Trenport will shortly announce the sale of a third phase for housing at Peters Village, delivering
104 homes – 31 being in the affordable category.
“We await final contractual details and reports,” said Trenport Director Chris Hall, “But with more than 400 new homes now confirmed for building at Peters Village it shows the rapid pace of housing development onsite, less than 18 months after Bellway dug the first house footings for Phase 1.
“Tangible proof of the popularity of our new community is also demonstrated by the many ‘Sold’ signs on properties nearly or newly completed on Phases 1 and 2, suggesting that many are being sold ‘off plan’ to buyers who like and feel confident about the style and quality benchmarks we set with our own planning applications for the initial phases.
“We should also recognise that sales momentum has been boosted by the opening of the new Peters Bridge in September (see inside for special bridge feature) confirming the better job, education and recreation options for people moving to Peters Village.”
The development of Phase 3 follows two commitments on Phases 1 and 2 by Bellway (152 new homes) and Orbit (157 including affordable).
Peters Village will ultimately include 1,059 new homes, built over seven phases and due for completion in the early 2020s. Trenport has invested £50 million in Peters Village, aided by £19.5 million of repayable loan funding from the Government’s Homes & Community Agency.
